The flags people mix up
This mode draws only from the flags that get confused with each other — 24 of them, grouped below. It is considerably harder than practice mode, because knowing roughly what a flag looks like is not enough here: these designs differ by one colour, one stripe direction, or the position of a single element.
That is also what makes it the fastest way to learn them. Recognition fails on these groups precisely because the brain stores a rough impression — "blue and yellow cross" covers both Sweden and Finland until you have to commit to which colour goes where. Drawing forces the commitment, and the correction sticks.
The Nordic crosses
They share one layout and differ only in colour and whether the cross carries a border, which is exactly why they are so easy to mix up.
The red-white-blue tricolours
Stripe order and direction are the whole difference here — get those right before worrying about shade.
The pan-African tricolours
Red, yellow and green appear again and again; the emblem in the middle is usually what separates them.
The crescent-and-star flags
Check which side the crescent opens towards and whether the field is split before you draw.
The Union Jack cantons
The canton is identical; the star arrangement in the fly is what you are actually being tested on.
The vertical tricolours
Ireland and Italy trip up almost everyone: orange versus red on the fly side.
